Yousaf Khaliq has worked in the actuarial and insurance field since 2012 where he has been involved in a variety of analytical roles. He is currently pursuing a Fellowship designation.  His experience includes the following:

  • Applying reserving methods using loss development factors, and calculating reserves for both known losses and incurred-but-not-reported losses.
  • Analyses of internal automobile insurance rates across various territories.
  • Creating Excel templates for setting multiple-car discount rates used to efficiently compare competitor rates.
  • Researching rate trends using advanced statistical methods to pinpoint areas with higher claims frequency.
