Our consultants have provided actuarial assistance to state regulators on insurance company examinations across more than 100 health, HMO, and long term care insurance carriers, including a multi-state examination that involved more than 20 companies with actuarial reserves over $5 billion. We have provided examination assistance both directly to state regulators as well as in conjunction with financial examination vendors.
Filing Reviews
Our consultants have provided health insurance and long term care filing review assistance to several state regulatory agencies. We understand the product and the financial issues faced by insurance carriers insuring health and long term care exposures, and we are able to fairly assess rate filings and help insurance regulators determine the appropriate rates for these filings.
