Meghan Brown joined Merlinos & Associates in October 2007 and has more than five years of actuarial experience. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Decision Sciences in 2007. Meghan has passed two parts of the Casualty Actuarial Society examinations in pursuit of a Fellowship Designation. She has also passed three exams of the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.
EXPERIENCE:
- The development of funding studies and pro forma financial statements for various captives and self-insured entities in Alabama, Nevada, Vermont, Kentucky and Delaware.
- Ratemaking for personal lines of business, with a primary focus on homeowners insurance in Florida.
- Rate and reserve analyses for various insurance entities related to workers’ compensation, medical malpractice, professional liability, general liability, property, auto liability/auto physical damage, warranty.
- Examinations of insurance companies for state insurance departments.
- Reviewing various rate filings for state insurance departments.
