M&A consultants Mark Brannon and Peter Scourtis will be attending the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund’s (FHCF) “Participating Insurers Workshop” on May 24th and May 25th. The Workshop will focus on 2011 reimbursement contract and data call changes, the status of the FHCF, 2011 Legislation, and other topics of interest.
The FHCF was created in November 1993 during a special legislative session after Hurricane Andrew. The purpose of the FHCF is to protect and advance the state’s interest in maintaining insurance capacity in Florida by providing reimbursements to insurers for a portion of their catastrophic hurricane losses.
